Hey all. A friend of mines son just bought a 2007 Attak and was out the other day. Apparently he hit an approach pretty fast and landed hard. Shortly after an oil light came on. They topped it up but again the light came on. I haven't looked at it yet but if anyone can give me an idea what and where to look I would appreciate it. I suspect the oil res. elbow/line but I haven't worked on one of these since I sold my RX-1
Thanks
Thanks
Look at the oil res. like you stated. I have an 07 and just replaced mine and used Hibsman's isolation dampener to help keeping it from cracking again. This is a known weakness after you get a few miles on them. Can find the res. used on this site from Hibsman.

Check all the lines. My brother lost one of the bolts for one of the idler arms on his rx and it was knocking the oil line off under the battery every time he turned the sled.

Check your oil tank carefully Mine has a crack in the side of tank, no where near weld, seam or joint. Ordered a billet one off Ebay . Dealer in Canada wants $400 for same POS OEM.
Mine put a small puddle of oil under sled over summer. Takes about 15 min for 1 drop of oil to come out of crack
It is a very known issue.
Good luck hope its a simple fix for ya.
