Make me hook up

Well might as well put #8 in the mix. Stretch 121 to 136 and go with the cobra 1.352, with or without studs. I am going that route on my already 136 attak... cobra and no pics. Many have said that the 1.352 cobra will outperform any 1.5...hope they are right. ;)!

Newfie would it be safe to say most of your riding is virgin snow? Or do you do alot of trail riding.

My riding is all types...powder, hard pack, trail off trail logging roads mountains..Everything

If this Nytro Deal goes through then my budget will be getting slashed dramatically. Which would mean either sticking with the 121 and doing a 1.352 or going to a 136 and doing the same track.

FYI: my sled is 2008 apex gt ltx (136")
for great hook up; take transfer rod out completely, if you do not want sky high catwalks pull limiter strap in the middle hole , which will help corner and keep front of the sled down until you really want wheelies, but you want hook up and i hook better than anyone i :4STroke: ride with and finally better than any sled i have owned. Note some riders have had problems with taking out transfer rod out but i have 5500kms with no problems..love it also my track specs are 15x136x1.25 136 studs up the middle

Well LOL this just in. I just bought an 08 Nytro with less then 1k miles. Sooooo the Nytro is going to be the sporty zippy sled. And the Apex will be the trail, fast and off trail sled.... Is what I am thinking. So now I have narrowed my options down to 2

1. 121-144 with camoplast crossover 1.5 track / drop 1 tooth or 2.

2. 121-136 with a Cobra 1.352 / drop 1 tooth

Thats really what I am leaning towards. And also #1 is $4 cheaper LMAO.... #1 $1,207.00 #2 $1,211.00

Well. I think I am going to do a 144 tip up with a crossover 1.5 on the Apex making the Apex the hookup on trail /off trail sled, and the Nytro the twisty/race, from corner to corner... sled.

Well I think this year I wont be extending the Apex. After buying my wife an 08 Nytro, my sled fund has diminished substantially lol. So I will probably be doing just a track, driver and drive shaft. I cant decide between a 1.5 or 1 3/4. I know with the 1 3/4 I will need to remove the tunnel protectors. But I wont be running studs so that shouldnt create a problem.

From what I have been reading the only time guys are experiencing a reduction in track life is running hard pack. Other then maybe twice a year are the trails hard enough that you can walk on top of the trail, 99% of the time if you walk on the trails up here you sink in atleast an inch with your boots.

Any input or reservations in going this route..... I know I talked about doing an extension, but I dont see the cash being there.

Stretch to a 128" and then install a Cobra track. If you are going to strech to a 136, then sell it and buy an Attack and put a Cobra track on it. Badsled didi the 128 to his Apex and he loved it. You have to rememeber, unless you are a major off trail guy, the bigger the foot print, the worse the handling will get. Remember you need to have a good balnce of the sled. To much traction will make it hard to handle.
