Poor Patti. Eventually her Ski Doo in a poor and sad attempt to have more Japanese heritage on the Yamaha ride, decided to head into the woods and try and commit Hari-Kari. Alas, it was unsuccessful and she was forced to endure the mild ribbing of being the first Bush Sled of the year.
As Turtle said, these things are just lying in wait for unsuspecting travelers who may venture off the trail.

Well another "Manitoba TY Ride" has come and gone and is in the books, many happy faces will attest to that it was a fun two days for some and three for others. We are truly blessed to always have sooooooooooo many wonderful people attend our ride as some are new first timer's, as others are returned veterans who keep coming back to ride a few days with us. It's such a pleasure and a privilege to have such quality people travel countless hours from abroad to join us for a few days of riding, it means a lot to us to have you here enjoying yourself.
Having 18 Sleds cruising the trails was Pretty Sweet as it's been a while since we hosted that many riders, it's a handful at times but always worth the effort when we see Happy Faces with lots of stories to share at lunch & dinner. Considering we had less than our usual amount of snow, we had to deal with Freezing Rain/Sleet, a Broken Groomer, a few Bald Spots & Marginal Snow in some spots on our route. Overall the Trails Were Fabulous and the Scenic View's were worth the brief stop too admire and take in.
Plans for the 2017 Manitoba TY Ride is already in the makings, with a few new places to ride and enjoy the groomed twisty trails and a outside/inside Bar-Q weather permitting. The Pinawa Hotel will once again be home for three days as we will launch from there every morning, as well as the dates will be the third week in February Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
Once again a Huge Thank You to all those who were able to join us this year and make our 2016 Manitoba TY Ride a very memorable one filled with Laughter, Smiling Faces, Pictures & Memories that last a lifetime. Whether you are CDN or American, Travel from one Coast or Another and from a State or a Province we all Share Something We Are Very Passionate About Together. This My Friends is what a TY Ride is All About......SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!
Very well said my friend!! Thank you!

In her defense that looks more like she is just going slightly off trail to cool the sliders.
I think the original Bush Sled can still keep his title unless someone comes up with a better pic.
Wow. Those rocks grow just about anywhere in the Whiteshell. That could have been a lot worse than just a bruise. As Turtle said, these things are just lying in wait for unsuspecting travelers who may venture off the trail.

Great big thanks to all my friends north of the border. So wonderful to see all of you again as well as meet a few new faces. Superb job hosting, planning, and guiding. The smiles per gallon just don't get any better than the Manitoba ride! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

I happen to have found a video of a bush sled from 2013, but I don't know how to edit to shrink the file size. Currently 1.5 GB.In her defense that looks more like she is just going slightly off trail to cool the sliders.

Drop it in Windows Movie Maker. Edit if needed and save for YouTube.
