I installed a MCX 180 kit this fall. Starts and idles good - when i give it some throttle it back fires quite a bit. Flames and sparks.
It still has the old fuel from last January - i need to change that out.
Could that be the issue or has anyone seen this before.

Help please. Heading to MT in 3 weeks. We are looking at heading to MI this next weekend for a tune up ride and i would like to address this before getting up there.

Drain fuel immediately.
It is very likely that there is a fair amount of moisture in it, and that is a wreck waiting to happen.
Put some 91 in it... or 93 if you can find it out there.
Post up results.

Not exactly sure yet. Probably between Ironwood and Twin Lakes

Seems to have been a bad ground - thanks Alan and Scott.
Put a new subframe in and had it powered coated.... needed to sand off that front grounding area
