ClimbMax - thanks for the response. It appears to be the same system although I could not see any pictures from the link you provided. We received the kit around the same time - May 2007 and have been working on fixing this issue ever sense. Here is what it is doing: (this info is from the Dynotech Research folks who did the Dyno work last week)
"surely problem of air distribution in plenum--all four injectors firing perfect, at wot 6000 all is perfect, let engine slide slowly toward 6500 #2 leans out then as revs are allowed to slowly slide up toward 7000 #2 begins to enrichen then get fatter than #1 & #3 (which stay perfect) and #4 leans out from 11/1 to 18/1 misfire meaning it's getting more than its' share of air somehow robbing from #2"
We will catalog the wiring diagram and post to assure it is the same as yours.

ClimbMax - got the pictures to appear - looks like the same system. As mine is being used in a race only application - the intake and exhaust are slightly different - turbo intake open on right side of the sled (no snorkel) and the exhaust exits straight out to the left.
We will catelog the wiring and get back with you. Appreciate the help.

The folks at Leipheimer were a big help today - Thanks Mark.
ClimbMax - we are tracking down a few items that Mark indicated could be an issue and will post tomorrow. Really appreciate the help and am looking forward to getting the bugs worked out.

Yes the wiring of the mcx box was a nitemare to find, took about 3 months of hair pulling, and it was wired wrong. Hope you find your problem.

You are right. the sup. injectors are not fired sequentially on the mcx set- up because they only have two wires controlling all four injectors. As long as the factory #4 injector is working properly, the motor either has a vacuum leak introduced to that cylinder supplying unmetered air or the ecu control of that cylinder is faulty. If you have access to a snap-on vantage graphing meter you can compare each cylinders pulse width and signal to each other and eliminate e.c.u failure just like a car. Wiring integrity for the injector circuits from the E.C.U to the injectors should also be confirmed.

I though I recall that they swapped injector and injector lead with another cylinder, the issue didn't follow. It stayed in that cylinder.

I think your right. Well maybe a smoke machine would be helpfull finding a vacuum leak in the intake system.

Why at only 7000 rpm, like a switch?
I suspect it is an air flow / tumbling issue and not a leak. The inside of that airbox must have a feature / characteristic that is inducing this.

Thanks for the replys. I do not think it is a leak because the motor runs great off of boost (no boost)- it only acts up under boost. # 2 goes rich at 7000 rpm as #4 goes lean at the same RPM. At 6500 RPM #2 goes lean. At 6000 RPM everything looks good. We are working to confirm the wiring is correct and if so will work on swapping out the ECU.
