I measured Stock, Arctic Cat & Ulmer rollers. The AC & stock had about 350 miles each. Ulmer's were new.
HOLE Stock=8.2mm AC=8.1mm Ulmer=8mm. Ulmer had the least "slop" on the shaft.
DIAMETER Stock=21.93 AC=21.91 Ulmer=21.92 All were consistent
WIDTH Stock=13.84 AC=14.13 Ulmer=14.12 Stock was very sloppy
SURFACE Stock=10.16 AC=13 Ulmer=11 AC is square
MATERIAL: Didn't have my scale to weigh them. The AC & Ulmer seemed to be about the same on my "scratch" test.. Took my Buck knife & scratched surface. (sorry, it's all i got) Now the stock rollers: FUHGEDDABOUDIT! They feel like someone melted down a "Big Wheel". ( remember those? ) The interesting thing is all 3 had 2 rollers touching & 1 not. I'm not sure if it's the same one, but shows either the pin hole or ramp is a blonde hair off...

BTW. The stock rollers all had flat spots. The AC rollers looked good after 350-400 miles. Ulmer's were about same price plus i trust him more than AC. The moral of the story. Go with Ulmer's of the 3. (other Vendors on this site also) And if you see a little asian man sneaking around your house....hide your Big Wheel that you've had since the 70's......

Being SRX Spec quoted this on another thread bringing it back again. The Asian man made me laugh.
Question? The update Yamaha had on rollers, was that just the secondary rollers and not the primary rollers? The reason I ask is the fella I just bought my used SW from said it had the roller updates. I took clutches apart the other day to inspect and clean them but it appears the Secondary has never been apart.

Yamaha updated rollers were for the secondary. The ones in the pictures Steve posted above are the original junk ones that flat spotted at will and not the updated rollers. Yamaha updated rollers have been fine for me and have little round dimples around them on both sides, thats how you can tell you have the new ones. Updated Yamaha rollers do the job just fine and no longer flat spot at will. Updated Yamaha rollers all touch on the helix just fine after being run.

I had a set of hauck rollers and they sent me washers with them. Decided to measure them and 1 of 3 was smaller in diameter and 2 of 3 were narrower. Needless to say i returned them for refund.

Thanks Mike!! I had also mentioned this on a SW facebook page last night. Casey Hauck responded with the same answer about the dimples. I'll have to go back and check those again. When I took the secondary apart the nuts broke loose real hard like it had the original locktite on them.

I did check today, my rollers do have the dimples. I guess the guy was telling the truth. Wonder why the secondary nuts were so tight? Like they were tightened by Hercules.

I use Thunder Products rollers, 800 miles on secondary rollers and look fine. i have a new set of TP primary rollers ready to put in when stock ones get wear on them.

I think i'm the only one that broke his secondary rollers.
I had 4000 miles on them & blew at least 4 or 5 belts while they were in.
It's possible that's when they got damaged although i visually inspected them this summer while in clutch. They might have had stress cracks.
