Hello everyone! Just found a dealer who is repairing the mechanical cam chain tensioner in Wisconsin! Even before it breaks and is out of warranty! SHEBOYGAN YAMAHA! Talk to Shawn in the service department! Dropped my 2005 Vector off yesterday! They will cover it uder the Yamaha good will warranty if your warranty is expired! Which mine is! They are repairing them even if it is not making noise! Get it fixed now before the rush starts in the Fall! It would be nice if you mention where you got the info from (Troy). There is nothing in it for me, just want to help everybody out! Good luck and let me know how you like their service! This is for the 05' - 07' models. P.S. (I live closer to T.A. Motorsports, but they are not covering it right now).

SLEDS AFFECTED: RS VECTOR/ER/GT; RS VENTURE/GT; RS RAGE/GT; RS NYTRO/ER; RS VECTOR MOUNTAIN/SE; AND VK PROFESSIONAL

Started reading posts on this,In MN dealers have no Clue, heads up ther butts! Thanks going to call Shawn ask him the scoop. Keep sleds in Upper MI. If they will do update Mine is still under warrenty I'll bring it to them 07 Venture 6800 miles.

Just to let everyone know, I talked to Shawn at Sheboygan Yamaha today. My sled was the first sled they repaired the tensioner on under Yamaha's "Good Will" warranty. (A repair done if your warranty has expired). Turns out Yamaha did not reimburse them enough for the labor they put into it. They were only paid for one hour and it took them 5 hours. Therefore they will not be doing this repair unless it makes noise. (Mine was not making any noise). Hope you can find a dealer that will fix it, before it starts making noise. Good luck everyone!

FYI: From what I have heard, from some limited research. There are two different color tensioners out there for sale. One is the old style (not to be confused with Pabst or Hamms) :drink: and the other the new. Buyer beware! Make sure your informed. I was also under the impression that only the dealers have access to the new. Meaning if anyone planed on doing it themselves the new tensioners weren't available. Please, correct me if I'm wrong! ;):D
