I am new to the Yamaha invassion as I just purcased one last Sat. and just waiting to have it prep'd.
Can someone tell me if the mirrors they use on the Venture will work for sure on the Apex RTX. They may not be the nicest looking but the appear to be the most functional. The problen here is I just purchased the machine last weekend and the dealer and I disscused the issues with the Apex mirrors, looking at my knees all the time didn't cut it. I had him check out with Yamaha to see if the Venture mirros would work with the RTX hand-guards, they didn't know for sure, so if I was buy them there would be no refund if they didn't fit. At $140.00 (Can) I was hoping someone that has tried them or is now using them on a 2007 RTX can shed some light on it for me so I don't have a set of mirrors that are no good for me. :exc:
I don't exactly understand how you plan to mount the Venture style mirrors. If you are looking at the RS Venture mirror kit those will not bolt up to the headlight area of any Apex model. The only option (other than the Yamaha kit to mount on the side panels) I have seen work on an Apex is if you run the tall or extra tall windshield with the braces to support the windshield you can mount the Phazer style mirror kit to the windshield brackets. Another option might be to wait until next season and take a look at the mirror kit and handguards that are coming out next season for the Nytro models as I think we might be able to use those parts on Apex's also.
