Anybody have any experience with the telescoping panel mount mirrors. I’d like to get the windshield mounted mirrors but from what I’ve found is you can only mount those ones on certain windshields. I’d rather not drill into the panel but if I have too, then I will...

I did the Arctic cat windshield with mirrors because like you I didn’t want to drill into panels.
I really like the look and functionality of the windshield/mirrors.

I briefly looked at what Yamaha had for mirrors when I bought my Viper in August, was not thrilled with their options. As of now haven't put anything on my sled. I know if you plan on running hand guards you can get mirrors that fold in/out when you need them. I think Powermadd has a set for a good price.

I have the Powermadd handguards with the mirrors; they really don't offer much protection, but on the plus side, they look good, and the mirrors while small, are "functional" in that you can see headlights behind you. Another plus, for more money, is that Powermadd makes a large fabric handguard that slips on over their plastic handguards which does give excellent wind protection when it gets really cold. I use them when it is sub-zero, but my 16 year old grandson thinks that they look so cool that he leaves them on all the time.

That's good to know. I'm waiting until after I get a few rides on cold days with my sled before I make a decision. The heated grips on my sled are hot AF. Plus on my older sleds I never used heated grips even though they were there. Must be hot blooded.

Check ebay for small mirrors, universal motorcycle 7/8" 22mm Handle Bar End Rear view Side Mirrors $16.99 free ship !
My buddy got them in red and black there installed hanging below handle bars COOL Little MIRRORS ! Four colors red blue gold black all with combo of black

I have the telescopic mirrors on my Viper, not overly impressed with the setup. I would look at other options if I had to do it again.

Used both of these setups.
1-powermadd with mirrors
2- arctic cat crosstrek windshield with mirrors.

My Powermadd hand guards are colored plastic (matching the colors on my sled) and much smaller, but I bought the larger wind guards that appear to be made out of the same material as yours; mine just strap over original guards for colder conditions.

what did you spend for the powermadd setup? Wondering if I'll have issues clearing a Low Sport windshield with the foam addition or not.

Want have issues clearing low profile wind screens. A lot of adjustability.
Don’t know exactly but bought mounts guards, then bought the foam pieces online.
Over 200 when all said and done.
BTW... my foam pieces were rigid mounted.

What don’t you like about them? The reason I’m thinking about the telescopic mirrors are because I don’t want to buy 2 more windshields and 2 sets of mirrors. I’ve used the powermadd setup before, although they were decent the did vibrate a lot and you can barely see out of them. We are currently using $10 mirrors that strap to the back of your glove...which work great, but it’s nice to be able to just glance down whenever without taking your hand off the bars all the time.

The Powermadd mirrors are really pretty similar to wrist mounted mirrors, just a fixed mount, and as a result, the vision is fairly limited when you are running the trail. That having been said, I can see the headlights of another sled behind me, and that is really the only reason I want the mirrors in the first place.
