sj, yes, you read correctly. We have two Fords, one with the double overhead cam v6 and a mustang with the double v8, and both specify 5w-20. And my wife's car starts fine all winter, as well as my truck and neon..I use it in everything to avoid having too many different types. Again, the oil is actually the weight of the low number..the polymers increase viscosity to the higher numbers. Problem is, polymers don't lubricate. I think this info was from Amsoil. In any case, the synthetic M1 is recommended and exceeds just about every standard exotic car manufacturers set...and I have a 98 neon with 150,000 miles still running fine, with relatively clean oil between changes. If it ain't broke,...........lol.
