Looking sharp basic ;)! I really like the white spindles! Did you paint the entire seat?
Nope. What is currently white, was gray. It went from the white plastic by the fueltank to gray. WTF.. Looked gay, what was yamaha even thinking :o|

It looks way better now! Hopefully that seat paint holds up for you ;)!

I hope so too!!

Well finally finished up the sled this weekend. Extro drivers, driveshaft bearing, 144 studs, 4th wheel, Excel wheels, Ulmers quick belt change tool and new hyfax.

Was a little nervous about taking the chaincase apart but that was no problem! About 4 tries to get the cover back on. The oil was really dirty too, only 3800 miles on it. Also the bottom grear bolt on mine was NOT broken, I was really surprised and I put in the updated bolt. My driveshaft bearing was smoked!!! And the outer race was cracked all the way through so I'm glad I had it apart, it probably wouldn't have made it very long this winter. I was going to change my jackshaft bearing too but it felt good so I just left it alone. I just made my own 4th wheel kit, got the measurements on here. Worked pretty well, I did reinstall my adjusters the wrong way. So its a pain in the butt to adjust the track now but it's not worth taking the skid back out for. This was the first time I have studded a track but it pretty much took as long as I though haha I got a 144 1.45 kit from Mack studs. Double and single backers, looks bad #*$&@!!!! I don't think traction will be a issue this winter.

I was real tempted to take it for a rip on the grass again but I held back :o| God we need snow now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup that's the one, I was pretty shocked when I found that. I haven't heard of it on here either. I would just change it out, its pretty easy to change out. Then u won't be thinking about it all season.

I dont need to pull the drivers or pull the skid do i?

No u should'nt need too. Just the secondary and the bearing bracket. It might be easier to get to the set screws on the bearing if the skid is out though. I would also spray it with some penatrating oil before hand too.

You noticed yours was shot just b/c you pulled the drivers out correct??

Correct, I changed drivers this year so that's why it was apart. My bearing was totally smoked, I'm glad I changed it ;)!
