Wow, looks great. You know it is good when you see the plastic reflected in the polished portion.
This is where polished tunnels came from, winters with no snow and a stocked beer fridge in the heated garage.
Good luck!

what did you use to apply and polish with? Rag, buffing pad, wheel?

i used terry cloths from autozone, but you can used just about anything. do small areas at a time apply with one rag rub until the copound turns black then wipe off with a clean rag. i only got 3 but going to need more to do the other side, the one you wipe off and buff with gets dirty fast.

Nice
For sure it's a baaaaaad Winter when someone is now polishing a tunnel...
I did my diamond plate salt shield this Fall, best done by hand~ what a pain in the nuts!
Time consuming & a few beers but came out nice. First ride this season it got covered in crap... I just sold the trailer. New enclosed will go to the car wash regularly if need be.
For plastics:
On mine & the Wife's sport bikes I like the Honda Pro cleaner. Like a wax/detailer in a can- spray it on, let set a minute and wipe it off. Works GREAT on shields as well (water beads right off).
I use the stuff on the sleds as well...

yea, i gave my buddy crap when he did it to his 07 iq, i was like "you're just going to go out and cover it with snow anyways", a week later and closed trails and i broke down. i will have to check ourcal dealership and see if they have the honda polish you mentioned.

Looks good. I got bored and polished my skid when I had the skid out. I will do the tunnel this summer.

I've never tried it, but a lot of people use Pledge.

Test it out first. We used this trick back when I raced pro on bikes in the domes. Makes just about any plastic look new. Apply with a sponge liberally tho.

Yes Mop n Glo, Takes me back to my youth. We would cheat in Boot camp and use it on our boots..... Looks great until you marched in them. LOL But kept use off the hook for inspection. We had gallons of it for the floor and accidently slopped some on our boots and it dried. Funny the way you discover somethings!! Might have to give it a whirl on the plastics.nobrakes said:Believe it or not... Mop -n- Glo
