I put some apex mountain skis on my attak tonight, and was wondering what I should have done with the rubber cushion. The mountain one that came with the skis would not work, so i used mine along with one of the spacers, the narrower one. With this setup all worked well, but was wondering if this was right. I had the 2 flat washers and another wider spacer that, near as I can tell, would never work with my spindle setup. Does the mountain spindle have something different on it? These were used skis, and the guy sent everything he took off with them. I could cut the mountain cushion to put another piece under the bolt and spacer, but do I need to.
Thanks for the info.

I just installed MTN skis on my 08 LTX GT. Used rubber stopper from standard skis, fit perfectly. Need new longer bushings and spacers for wider ski bolt. All parts came from dealer who got the MTN skis for me. I also shimmed the rear of the rubber stopper with a 1/4 shim and installed Berstrom 8" triple point skags and skisavers. Hope this helps.

This may be an opportune time to ask, actually how wide are these mountain skis?

mountains are 7 inches wide, 2 inches wider than the stockers.
