Im going to juice up my 2017 King Cat this summer. What are you guys doing as far as mods? Im thinking of going with TD tunes but Hurricane has some high elevation tunes, is there any real difference between a high altitude tune and a regular tune? what other cool changes have you guys done? the vertical steering post is looking awefully seductive, going to have to do some research to see how i can get that done. Ice age elevation kit looks wicked but pretty spendy, any reviews on that?

Idk I was going to do a vertical post on my viper but after riding my daughters 600 cat …don’t think I will. Didn’t like it at all. I’m thinking of making her cat horizontal steering…think it’s easier for her while standing. I stand riding all the time.

It won’t fit the 4 stroke from the 600 cat.

The viper vertical has the tripod , steering post has a knuckle in the post for the angle.
The 600 doesn’t. It has 2 posts. One post is connected with linkage to the other vertical post. The post on the handlebars wouldn’t fit cause the 4 stroke motor is in the way. I looked at it since i have both in my shop, not sure how you would make it work.
2 very different systems. But anything is possible with modifications.

Upper picture is the cat. The bottom cross brace where the handlebar post fits into…the 4 stroke motor is there. That’s why the tripod on the viper. It’s the support. Just so you can see it yourself.

I recently went from the evo hellcat tune to the 300 horse hurricane high elevation flash on my 18 king cat , I put on the new map sensor and the hurricane header , its a complete different animal with that tune. I have the ice age elevate kit on it with the 9 inch big wheel kit from ice age , that kit makes a big difference being higher up out of the snow , easier laying it over less plowing overall an awesome upgrade in my eyes.Im going to juice up my 2017 King Cat this summer. Thanks for the response, that sure helps.
If you were to do your build all over again, what order would you do things? I have 3 sidewinders and just can't do it all haha.

3 side winders? Wow impressive. I have an old 08 m1000 lol. I guess really it all depends what you wanna with the sled. Big chutes and such. Definitely build up that engine and put the mcxpress 340 kit on. I love the Hurricane 300 high elevation flash but thats tickling limits i feel and the heat . I recently had an exhaust valve drop took out the one cylinder and my exhaust impellar on the turbo from the aluminum balls lol. So I'm gonna send the engine to hurricane for the pro mod build and match it with the mcxpress340. Bigger turbo bigger intercooler Itll run cooler.

I'm still learning so I might choose to work on the chassis before the power, however it's pretty easy to shave about 20lbs and get more hp, so I'm in a constant battle lol. That elevate is not cheap at all3 side winders? Wow impressive. I have an old 08 m1000 lol. I guess really it all depends what you wanna with the sled. Big chutes and such.
