I'm curious on this as well. I won't be researching until next season tho. I have enough on my plate now with the sled. lol

You are running 12psi on a stage 1? How? Race fuel only?

I built my own nitrous system, with individual components, from individual companies. If you have to ask how I did it, well, I wouldn't recommend you try to do the same. As Art mentioned I have posted several times about my SC-Nitrous combo but I only posted part numbers, specifics, and pictures of what I was running in the very beginning (10-shot to cool the charge air). I'm well beyond that now and haven't posted anything on my current 60-shot setup because I didn't want to answer a bunch of "do-it-yourself" questions on every single aspect of a nitrous system to people with no nitrous background. What I would recommend to anyone with a Stage-I supercharger that wants to run nitrous is find yourself a company that will sell you a complete nitrous system and SUPPORT you after the purchase to get it setup correctly. A nitrous system SHOULD NOT be used as a solution to a poorly setup sled. If your supercharger isn't already giving you a strong-continuous-pull from 0 into the 130s you are not properly setup. The small Rotrex supercharger is capable of 240hp and most everyone on this site will agree that 240hp setup properly is a real handful for a trail sled. Your top-end number will be limited by your peak hp, clutching, track, gearing, and rpm. Properly clutched you can expect a 500rpm gain with a 30-shot so plan accordingly. I'm partial to BoonDockers EFI nitrous systems and use some of their components. You also have CB Performance right here on TY4. I'm sure they can set you up with a gnarly wet shot and will support you after the sale.

Don’t need it out of the hole with the supercharger. When I’m in set up snow I have to wait until the nose of the sled settles down and I’m doing about 50mph to hit the button or it just blows the track out (162x2.25x16 Maverick). I ride in the steep-n-deep of the mountains so for boondocking and normal riding the supercharger by itself is more than enough. The nitrous comes in handy when you’re on a deep powder climb and you want a little extra momentum. It also works well for hill-climb-drag-racing with your buddies that have larger compressors. The biggest benefit of the nitrous, the way I have mine setup, is that it drastically cools the charge-air and the intercooler. The downside is that eventually the nitrous is going to run out. I have a 4lb carbon fiber BoonDockers bottle mounted on my tunnel extension and it will last 4-min at 20hp (48-5 second shots) and 1.5-min at 60hp (16-5 second shots) I have considered either carrying a spare bottle or building a duel-bottle cradle for the tunnel extension. I'll see how things go this season before I do anything more.

Cold-Dense-Charge-Air + Fuel = Horsepower

Hammer if you ever figure out a way to carry more please let us know. I don't have a tunnel extension so I'm stuck with under the hood options. I only get 30 seconds on my 80 hp wet shot with CB. Best dang 30 seconds of your life though...

I,m going to take my scuba tank and strap it to my back, not to stealth but it holds alot of gas :jump: :jump:
