First ride of 2016 and my 12v rear mounted turbo oil pump failed. This one does not have the rubber boot. Who else makes a pump that I can install? Can the MPI pump be re-built. This failed after sitting all summer, could this have been prevented? NAPA has a fuel pump that is similar but NAPA says not to use a gas 12v pump to move oil. Napa #6101061. Need your ideas, love the Turbo! When riding with this condition the sleds lots of smoke and burns tons of oil, be careful, loss to boost.

Unfortunately I heard this is common with 12V oil pumps in general not specific to the MPI one. I know that is why the MCX uses a crank driven mechanical unit. To get back on the hill fast I would just get another one and take the summer to research and see if there are better options.
