Trying to get my sled finished (finally), and have MPI stage I (22/24) w/ HKS bov and MPI box, and a Bender clutch kit.
1. I've had the Bender kit in for a couple years, so I know it was set up pretty well for non s/c use, but want to know if anybody has any ideas where to start with a s/c set up for it.
2. The box I have is the MPI box with the latest GEMS programming? Thats what I was told when I bought the kit (it was used). Is there a place to go for the instructions on how to make sure it's set up correctly? The boost reference port on the box barely fits a hose, and I don't really trust it, unless I'm way off and doing something wrong.. It seems like I have to rely on the hose being wedged into the box to hold it on the port and it doesn't seem to be right.. Am I missing something here? anybody have any pics?
3. I have my A/F gauge (Innovative G2) set up on the correct ports on the throttle bodies (trial and error there), but I'm wondering if the hose to the BOV should be "t'd" into that or to the other set of ports on the throttle bodies?
Other than that, I hope I'm good to go, just having a hard time finding some written instructions for some of this stuff...

Your bov needs to see vacuum to work right so I would use all four tb's to control that. That bender kit will either need a helix/spring or some heavier arms on the primary, not sure what you are running for weight and helix now, but if it is set up for stock you are not going to be close, talk to Full Power Performance, Justin probably has some ideas for that set-up. I have never seen an A/F connected to tb's, usually its your exhaust, but there are alot of things I haven't seen.lol. If you have your fuel controller connected to your tb's it is going to see vacuum too and may add fuel, that may give you some mapping issues, it did with my dynojet set up anyway. I get my boost reference for fuel/ignition off the i/c. Not a big fan of the gems, some guys can make em work, but I have seen alot of detonated and burnt motors because of them...watch that afr closely.

Sorry, that was a brain fart, I meant my boost/vac gauge was set up on the tb's. I have the innovative G2 series gauges for everything, and the wideband is set up pretty standard. I think I have most everything sorte out but the clutch, but the wideband wouldnt accept the procedure for calibrating it when I first hooked it up. I've got to do a little digging into the wiring on that one..
I haven't gotten any miles on it yet, but hopefully I get the A/F fixed tonight and go try it out.
