Hi.. I set my suspension to the hardest setting and its still bottoming hard sometimes. With the sled stopped I can push the rear of the sled down on the rear bar with very little effort . Is there something wrong with my springs or shock?? I think it is way too soft.. I'm 6'2'' 210 lbs! With the same force used to push my suspension all the way down, i could only push my friends Renegade about 2 inches down?? How's yours!!

Thanks
Martin

mine is the same also.. all i can figure is that in deep powder riding which it is designed for, the valving isnt set up for big bumps. I believer most mountain sleds are set up this way..... correct me if im wrong.... I went back to the dealer and asked hime about it. he figured the same.. the fx is way stiffer than the mountain lite

That is correct. Same thing on the Apex Mountain. Ask anybody riding an Apex Mountain in ANYTHING but powder. The suspension sucks.
The shocks are WAY too soft. :o|

Ohlins 46 on my mtl, but still no snow :-(

That setup looks awesome, I've been thinking about augrading the rear shocks on my FX, the front arm one is soft and the spring is sacked already. Does Ohlins stock those or are they a custom order shock?

They are costum, still not tested on snow. I dont think ohlins stock any shocks for the mtl. My shocks comes from Fredrik Granbergs vector, but he never rode it with the Yamaha boggie, so he gave me a good price for them

Is there any chance you'd be able to get me the specs on those shocks, cuz right now my options through Yamaha are very limited, they don't even offer a heavier spring for the front shock yet. Right now we are looking at putting a Float resevoir in, or maybe a Zero X, but my years with Fox haven't really impressed me that much, very high maintenance. Any info you have would be much appreciated.

I'm interested in shock upgrades too. I am an mx racer in the summer and have really been loving pounding through the rough stuff with my Phazer FX, but the suspension in the rear is way too soft.

Hey MX, good to see I'm not hte only one with this problem, I was beginning to think it was just me. How do you like the front end shocks, so far I haven't had any complaints with them. It mostly just the rear that annoying me.

Yeah, the front seems really good. Just the rear is really soft. Of course, I am not a little guy, but I can make an mx bike work for me, no problem.
