Thanks to the TY guys for another great weekend. Even though we didn't ride on Sunday due to a mechanical issue with one sled in our small group, we all had a great time Friday night, Saturday riding, and Saturday night. Met a bunch of new people passionate about snowmobiling. That's what makes these rides so much fun.
Thought I'd post a photo from our Saturday boondocking adventure. Found some great powder to play in and were having a ball until Ditch Cricket found the edge of this pond
.
Three and a half hours later, Ditch Cricket was hi and dry again. Other than wet feet and a bruised pride, everything was good. Murdered137, thank you for your help in the rescue mission. With no room at the bottom of the hill to use another sled on to pull with, this was a brute force the old fashion way, lift and pull retrieval. Moral of the story, "Never go over the hill until you know what's on the other side". You never know when there isn't enough stable shoreline to stop on at the bottom of the hill before the edge of the pond.
Have fun and be safe.
