Munising fun ride, Who's in? Who's out?

It's MY fault! I bought a new sled :o| :o| :o| :o| :o|

Aha! So YOU'RE to blame............. LaLaLa

Unless we get a DRASTIC change by Wed. I'd seriously consider not wasting the time coming here. Three days ago I had mid thigh deep snow in my yard. Today, bare spots in places. Trails are just as bad. It's way, way worse than it was for the demo ride last year (for a point of reference). That is not to say that it is totally bare, but I'd be doing everyone a disservice to imply it's any good at all.

Buddah, snow in the forecast?????

Not until Wed........unless you count a 50% chance of "snow showers" Mon. & Mon. night..........no accumulation forecast :o| :o| :o| :o| .....and even Wed. through Fri. only calls for a good chance of snow showers.......

It was 37 when I woke up at 7:30 or so this A.M........16 currently......all it did was freeze what little snow was left into hard piles......even the 30+ lb. male Tibetan can't break through the surface.........

More updates as the week progresses...........

None from what I was told. I had reservations in Boulder Junction this weekend. Obviosly that got cancelled. So I called Munising, Ishpeming, houghton everywhere, and they all said don't waste your time, it is terrible. The closest place was way up near Duluth for us to even entertain. This Stinks :o| :o| :o|

Come on Snow and cold we need you!!

is there 'great' conditions anywhere in MN? anyone know? (notice i said 'great' - not.... 'good') if i'm driving that far i want 'real good' -
i would even consider going east to NY if they have great conditions.

OK...I tried to offset this by leaving my sled in pieces...because usually when I rip my sled apart the perfect storm hits! But I don't know...this is not looking good. I'm putting the sled back together tomorrow, but if it's as bad as I see on the web cams it is NOT worth the drive.

Peter,

If you find good conditions I'M IN if you want to go. We can take my 2 place and roll!

Let me know...

It might be a thought to consider the Houghton area. Check out some of the threads posted this morning on the JohnDee web site by some of the locals. They're forecasting snow pretty much every day this coming week. It looks promising.

It sounds like with some of the new snow forecasted that the trails in the Keweenaw should be rideable. My riding buddy and I are heading up there on Wednesday-Sunday. We've been dragging our feet debating on going to the TY Muni ride or not, but with the conditions the way they are in Muni we decided to head to the Keweenaw instead.

Anyone else headed that way next week?

Its a thought, and its closer for me than New York would be. I was up there for the Houghton Ride, and we had a great time. Will have to see what the weather brings, but Muni does not look so good as now.
