my 06 apex rtx projects 144"

dude this thing is nuts, i love it! just kinda foolin around on sum flat land and lake but plan to hit the ditches tomorrow along with sum trails but i can deff say its very nice off trail.gears made a huge difference.... snow was coming down so hard we got lost on my lake flowege , was getting really worried.

got about a inch and half sag with 25lbs on it. no ratcheting at all. ill ride out the season then put some more bogys on along with 4th wheel . might do some skis b4 end of season but im already heavily invested in this beast.

I'd advise against getting Yamaha's marginal snow kit if you are looking for extra wheels. I bought them and they vanished.

muffinworks 144" tip up extension

muffinworks tunnel extension

ulmers 23t gear

ulmers stage 2 clutch

new cobra 144" track

new rear idlers

here is sum pics and i will update as i go
feel free to give any input or ideas....

:rocks: :4STroke:

Were the cable lengths an issue when you added the Rox 2.5 riser?

The only issue was the center pad had to be a certin way or else it would activate tors if i turned the wheel. Kinda wish it was a tad taller but i didnt want it to be ackward for trail riding and sitting.

I ran into the same issue initially but my local dealer threw me a freebie after I kicked dirt! If you install the wheels where the rear A-arms will hit them when you bottom-out your suspension the wheels will leave you like a Prom date when you run out of beer! Long story short, don’t install them exactly where the slides are wearing. That’s the approach I took since it made the most sense to me but after I took a second look at the configuration all was good.

So was there an issue? I do not understand " the center pad had to be a certin way" comment. Please ‘splain to me. What it comes down to is I need to add some height to my stock bars without cable issues and I’m looking for simple fixes.

Mine doesn't lift as high on Hardpack as it did when it was 121. I don't really notice any weight change.

its all fresh powder so not much hardpack yet, im hopn the groomer gets out tonight. the few places where it really hooked up it seemed like it only lifts as far as the tip up allows. keep in mind i was trying to wheelie so its not out of control or anything.

i love the cobra and the apex, my buddy got a new nytro xtx last night and fortunatly he has to keep it here so i get to drive it. i took it out this morn for about 20 miles. in regards to the track the nytro has stock ripsaw with studs up the middle. the cobra on my apex way out performed the ripsaw at least in the fresh powder in the ditches. hands down cobra rocks.

now about the comparison between apex and nytro?? im very happy i got a apex instead, dont get me wrong the nytro is beautiful but its not as smooth and i dont mean bumps smooth i mean power smooth and feel. nytro is great for standing but the second you sit down for a min it kills your knees and dosent want to turn. (could be suspension set up, nytro has aftermarket skies) nytro is very fun sled to just jump on and bang around for a bit but hands down the apex is much better all around sled. just my opinion. i feel if u really wanted total package a guy should have both in his arsenal or maybe apex/ phazer.

we plan to do some trail riding in a little bit and i look forward to taking the new 144" apex through the trees, so far i really havnt felt like there was 12 more inches back there as far as turning and such. i do notice it like if i burp it over a sno bank cause the track seems to ride the top of it longer so a little more gas is required so it dont nose dive .

and whoever said that these sleds where comparable in speed was full of crap. there is nothing even comparable about apex power.

Ounce the powder got beat down and sum bumps emerged i noticed that my newly revalved beefd up mono shock was bucking me like crazy. I told the guy to make it so i never bottem, well it was like a cinder block pounding thr crap out of me over every bump. Came back home and called my shock guy at 7pm, within 25 min i had it pulled and on my way to see him. By 8pm i was on my way back home with the re redun shock. I told him it was bucking me like crazy and he moved the cir clip back to loosest setting, opend the shock up and took 2 shins out:) now how many shock guys do u know that would jump to the gun at 7:30 at night to mske it right. Came home went for a ride and its beautifull.
Now thats service

I removed the upper cable ring to give the cables room to move without binding. parking brake cable just gets tight at full left
