This is my 2011 XTX I bought last year and just got done modding. It has a lot of mods, but many of the items I created myself, so the cost was not all that bad. Gained some weight with some parts and lost with others. Weighed everything and lost about 75lbs.

The engine is using the 9 plugs, has excel header and a spintech muffler. Trail tank too.

Skinz front-end with evols and a float cat skid in the rear.

2" Challenger track with 19 tooth top gear.

Relocated steering with angle alum, lake effect pivot riser. Yammy mountain strap. Removed parking brake by using the cat brake.

Made my own under tunnel and used the rear bar from a polaris for the seat.

Drilled out the floor boards to let snow escape. Protectors gone too.

Drilled out plastic to let heat escape. Added water wetter for cooling.

Pilot skis with shaper bars.

Roll-over valve.

Lightweight ballistic battery with custom heater for it.

Looks really good, great job on the seat/tunnel.

I'm curious about the Cat skid too. I was thinking about throwing a Polaris 144" skid on mine if I could find one.

The cat skid swap was not crazy hard, but took some time for me to line up and place it. The cat skid height is about 1.5" lower in the front, but the same in the rear. The shaft is wider in the back, but narrower in the front. Looking at the rails compared to my xtx skid and figuring it was a 141 skid I decided to move it back 1.5".

This is a picture of it in the stock front holes. Clearly way too much track in the front. Inside the tunnel a lot too.

New front hole. 1.5 down and 1.5 back.

Removed my rear mounting directions. If you do this swap, you will want to match up the rear to the correct spot. I can post details if needed.

XTX skid was 71lbs and the cat skid is 40. Made my own two wheel kit. I sold my XTX skid for $900 and that seems to be going price. I bought my cat skid for $600.[/b]

Do you have any pics on how you mounted the seat to the Polaris bar?

I would not mount it to the seat the same way I did. I had originally tried to have it use no polaris bar and reinforce the under side with a alum. I then bolted it to that.

The top of the polaris bar is flat not round, so fabbing something should be easy.
