The 2012 sleds have been out for 3-4 years testing and retesting.....we just don't know it! You are correct about the Mnt. sled....if they don't bring something in the 150-160 h.p. range they are done except for a small percentage of Mnt. riders. This is NOT a hard thing to do....cam change, head work and mapping and they are now at 150 with the current Nytro...let alone changing the stroke or displacement.
With a good clutch set up, header,pipe and air filters the current Nytro is nearly at that 150 h.p. mark and WILL suprise a lot of guys this season!
One word describes the current pricing... Inflation...... our economy has dictated the price increase by the dollars decrease in value! You think this is bad ...just wait a few years it WILL get worse before it get's better....I don't care what Obama and the media is slinging....economics 101.... inflation has to happen with our current and past 10 years situation. Everyone is gonna whine for more this is how we got what we got now....stop whinning about the whinners and learn to expect human nature. cheers

If Yamaha wants to stay in the mountain market they better come out with something that has more balls than the Nytro!

sure, inflation, hyperinflation and gov't spending and deflating the dollar all play a part. But cmon, i bleed blue too, but just can't see paying this much even in a good economy. YOu can buy a car for $15k.

Hell I would be happy if they took the 2011 Apex, tweaked some timing, cam etc. to gain another 15-20 horses and put the Pro-Mountain Air the Nytro got last year in it....
