Hi guys I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can help me out with my 2014 MP. Last week the snow machine started and ran very well. Went out Saturday to start the machine and nothing when I turned the key, no display panel or anything. Must be the battery I'm thinking with the cold weather, so I got a new battery and replaced the old one. Yes still nothing, what should I be looking for? The replacement battery checks out fine, is there any other things that I need to check before hauling it back to the dealer?
Thanks for your input

Are you saying that you turn the key and there's absolutely nothing? Are you sure that the stop switch is pulled up? (sorry, I have to ask the obvious and it sounds like that could be it). Other than that, it could be something with the wiring or the relays. Take the side cover off and check that the ignition key switch is properly plugged in. You should be able to see it from the side. Is it really cold where you are? Some relays have been known to freeze, particularly the fuel pump relay. Maybe the main load control relay is frozen. Try getting some heat on the relays just behind the battery. If that fixes the problem, haul it to the dealer and have them replace all your relays with the new solid state red relays under warranty. The part number for this new relay is 8GN-81950-00-00

Yes you turn the key and there's absolutely nothing. So I followed the wiring back to the fuses and relays. One fuse was not all the way in place, no idea why it would work its way out of contact not unless its been like that from new. It has 300km on it. Pushed it back in and turned the key and it started. Should I take it to the dealer? No idea why should have to. Will watch it and see if it does it again. Thank you for your info would not have thought to followed the wiring back. RH

More than likely it was just a fluke, which would have been a missed check by the dealer before delivery I would think. Just ride and enjoy.
