Well I got a video done and will post but I do have a question. It seems that I have lost some HP/torque. Lost about 5mph and 300rpm. It just seems kind of doggy and not the same quick acceleration. The exhaust is definitely less restrictive because the RPM idle speed has come up. Just wondering if it's not getting enough fuel. I thought I read a post on how to increase the fuel ratio?
That’s odd. Usually slip-on’s don’t do anything for performance, just looks and sound.
Maybe back pressure?

Dunno guys, I have Aaen, and a PC3 set up by Ulmer racing and my power is fantastic top to bottom, no decel pops or bogs.

Because the fuel injection uses a predetermined map once you get more "air" going through it will have a lean condition. Add a fuel control solves this.
Less back pressure means a leaner running system.

I think the general consensus is can the Phazer have aibox and/or exhaust improvements without a fuel controller? Yeah. Would it benefit from a fuel controller? Yeah.

Sounds great but it's too bad it performs bad. The stock one is going back on.

Can you just up the fuel pressure a little?
I know on the old Arctic Cat EFI you could change the fuel pressure to enhance fuel delivery.

Well just finished putting the stock exhaust back on. RPMs went from 2200 back to 1750 so definitely more restrictive. We'll see how it performs in the morning on the way to work.
I don't think there is a way to up the fuel pressure on the Phazer. Never heard it mentioned here. I could get a controller and play around with some maps but there's only around 3 weeks of riding left and I'd rather be doing that.

Interesting read bit to be honest I don't think there is a lot to be gained with this motor. If you think about it Yamaha has engineered a 500cc motor that puts out 80hp from only 2 cylinders. I use to have a Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle which has a 4 cylinder 600 motor and redlined at 14,500 RPM and only put out 15hp more then the Phazer and it had a gem of a motor. The phazer has weak areas but the motor isn't one of them and the smart money should go to the suspension, track, clutching and steering.

You can adjust the air/fuel ratio by going into diagnostic mode. It's in the FAQ. It is a very linear adjustment though, making the adjustment across the whole RPM spectrum. So if you increase the ratio by 1, it will do so from engine start to max RPM. It is separately adjustable for each cylinder. Maybe a separate controller can be adjusted according to RPM.

Well I road the sled to work this morning and the performance is back to normal. No more doggy feel. I wonder if there is enough adjustment in the air fuel ratio to compensate for the lean condition by putting on exhaust?
