ok I have a serious problem..
I have a 05 vector so does a buddy I ride with all the time yet his machine pulls way harder and always has 20 km per hour on me. Its was funny at first but not anymore its getting frustrating :o| :o|
My dealers done the following

peak voltage test
stator
cdi box
fuel pumps

They say everything is fine its just a "stone". I realize the vectors not the fastest machine around but come on fix it !!!!
Even today on a ice track all I got was 159 km while buddys doin' 182km.
My dealers pretty much given up and I was wondering if anybody out there has any ideas..

they run best @8600 rpm's that's where peak hp is.That's not what's causing it though. Some run better than other's mine ran strong right out of the crate compared to other vector's.Do you have your track overtightened.Try tighting your limiter strap one hole it will take alitle drag off the front of your suspension rail's.

Make sure the track isn't to tight.. Another thing that can really slow you down is improper ski adjustment.. I had a 500 that I could only get 85 mph out of. Took it in and everything checked out fine with the motor and clutch.. I got it home and noticed the skiis were waaaaaaay off.. 2 1/2" off.. I made the adjustment and gained 10 mph......... Not bad... Check yours out.. Should have a maximum of 1/4" toe out................. Run the track at least with 1 1/2" of sag...............Let us know how you come out......MM.

So far, on my Vector, I've seen 163 on my speedometer, and I'm 250 lbs.

Yeah your buddies is running as should be. I have seen 122 mph or 196 kph on ice myself with only a clutch kit and flo commanders installed. Even stock it ran 110 mph all day long on the lake on the speedo. Maybe your speedometer is just more accurate. J\K Have you lined them up side by side?? Have you synched the carbs at all? I would also go over the entire drivetrain. (Chain tension, clutch alignment, etc.)

pistol I have heard from another source on this site that you have seen 182km/hour......if this true, that must have something done to it......
