I rode an o8 Nytro FX & liked it better than 08 Nytro with Fox floates. The Nytro XTX is what you want but Vector Ok as upgrade from RX1 but does not have the same snort with only 125 hp. 139 hp Nytro engine very responsive in Nytro platform. Nytro very good for ditches easy to standup ride. Vector good general purpose trail sled & totally different from Nytro. Nytro has 7 gallon tank stock so consider that as well if range is important then Vector is better with at least 150 mile range 90 miles on Nytro.

Well I only rode the RX1 for 2 days up North on trails. I had a polaris Edge X 800 before it and I loved that machine. I knew i could hit 6 feet deap snow drifts and know i wouldnt get stuck!! and before that machine i had a SRX 700 triple which i could go in any fileds with but was unreal on trails.
I like the vector style of riding. is a nytro the same sitting position as the REV? cause i dont like that to much dont feel safe! lol or a day on it wasnt enought to get comfortable on it

Riding a ditch isn't the same as "ditch banging". If your RX-1 was good enough to get you through the ditches to the trail, then the Vector will be about the same. The Vector will be warmer than a Nytro also. If you didn't mind the handling of the RX-1 then I'd get the best Vector your money can buy.
If you weren't happy with how your RX-1 handled the ditches then I'd suggest the Nytro as others have mentioned.

I agree, if you ride the trails then this is the machine. Mine rockets around and is rode hard corner to corner.

I would look for an 09 Nytro XTX long track. Put some SLP Powder Pro ski's on the front , a turnout on the muffler and a 1.75 gallon RotopaX gas can on the back of the tunnel and you would have a great machine for Ontario!
The ski's float much better and rail in the corners and the gas can is a cheap fix for the small Gas tank on the Nytro to extend your range.

I will admit the Vector LTX I ride is warmer then my buddies Nytro XTX but if u look at the picture of his sled you can get a larger windshield and side deflectors with the hand guards and I feel it will be a great ride for you. He has 9000 miles on that sled and no problems at all.

With the information you provided IMHO, I think you would be happy with the Vector LTX GT. You are not trying to be a snocross racer and dont like the aggressive forward riding position of the Ski doo's and like the conventional riding position by the sounds of it so I recomend you consider the Vector and personaly I think it is far better looking. lol sorry Nytro guy's, Just my opinion. What ever your decission, Yamaha four stroke, quality, durability, dependability, quality, and fit and finish are your benefits. Good luck!

X2, I have been reading this post for a while now and was going to recommend the Vector LTX myself, but based on what you said, I wasn't so sure?
But after your latest post, I think that is the sled for you.
Good luck

If you end up with the Vector LTX I don't think you will be disappointed I have owned one since 09. If you get a lot of snow in your ditches it kind of sucks for deep snow. First thing i would do is new wider skis for some flotation. The last thing you want to do is bury that thing on its side in the ditch when your riding back at night by your self.
The only reason I thought the Nytro XTX would be better is you mentioned you own a crotch rocket and dive it hard. With wider ski's on the XTX its a much better deep snow mach. and has more corner to corner power.
At my age I really like my Vector and would buy a new one in a heart beat! hope you find the one ou want.

What sled
IMHO you can't go wrong with any of these options even if you go with your first choice of a new rear suspension. I made a steal of a deal on a used 136" M20 Airwave and Assault front shocks for my 05 Vector, added a Ice Ripper, Apex seat, handle bar riser, Ulmer clutch kit and I can tell you it is one sweet ride. If it's a Yamaha you've got something to work with.
