I have 08 Apex ER with 144 studs and Bender Racing exhaust, I weigh 215lbs and cant seem to find the the right weight setup in the clutch..I have the secondary set at 6 & 2. Can someone please help?

call proline, 507-288-5185 no hassle, and you'll get it right from the horses mouth, so to speak. 6-2 is right, but what are the weights at?

I spoke with John at Pro-line a few times but I still cant get the right setup. I now have 2.5g in the tip and another 2g in the center. Im getting 10 800 on the top end but I dont seem to be getting any gains. I raced a stock apex with same studs and we were about even. Then I raced a Apex with same studs and Proline kit also and he smoked me.

crmac33,
Please add your location to your site profile, per site rules. Thanks you

Its hard to beat stock Apex clutching, and I don't hear of that many people geting night and day gains with a clutch kit. I have a Bender kit in mine, and I think it "feels" quicker, but I don't think it really did that much.

Was it an Apex ER or RTX?

You will overshift that secondary spring in the Proline kit at 6 and 2. Add some studs, and twist the secondary to 9 and 1.

That's about the only thing you can do...

I thought that the pro line kit was suited more for tail riding than drag racing? I have one also and it is great for trail riding but could be better for dragin.
My drag & fly setup works really well for drag racin.
