Needs some real opinions and info on Yamaha oem mpi 180 turbo thinking converting it to low elevation in Michigan. Like to hear from someone who has ridden this setup like mpg and any reliability issues. Still like the oem trail supercharger just worried about front weight and fuel issues. Just need a little more power open any suggestions on what kit I will be doing the install myself so doing my homework first. Has to be low boost sea level kit for Michigan. Yes I have searched on Ty.

I have 2300 miles on an MCX 180. Turn the key and go so far. I did have an issue with the scavenge pump once, but was contributed to install, not the pump itself!
My buddy has 2 nytros with turbos one with MCX 180 and the other MCX 240 the 180 kit has 14,000 miles on the 240 has 4000 miles both are flawless and fast. You wont go wrong with the 180 kit and its better on fuel than a stocker, I geared him up to 24/39 gearing and clutched his sled and he just keeps riding mostly saddle bag tours on the 180 and 240 for playing around locally.

whether it is turbo or supercharger, go with MPI. Matt has been the most helpful person in the snowmobile world i have encountered. great products and great customer service!
I have an MCX 180 on my 12 XTX with Ulmer clutch kit. Has about 2500 miles with the turbo. I ride in MI. I checked mileage last year on one trip and got 17 several times. It runs good and the turbo is a blast. Just have to run premium gas or I put in Amsol octane booster if I can't find premium gas. MPI also sounds like a good kit.

Thanks for the info. I almost changed my mind again to supercharger but found a good deal on mpi 180 turbo for good price. Does anyone know if a trail tank would fit?
I bought the MCX kit from Ulmer and I have a trail tank.
