need maximun wight transfer!

I think part of getting a real good launch is throttle control. Just pinning it to the bar with these torque monsters will gain you nothing with either size studs. I have run 1.45s in my 06 RTX may she RIP, and just putting it to the bar had the same effect yes it did grab alittle better but still the torque is way more than a smoker. I ran 168 1.45s in my RTX and the longer studs is what killed her. Had a tear out at 100 plus and ripped the front heat exchanger in half. Fluid leaked so quickly it toated the motor No warning lights nothing till it was to late. I now have 09 LTX and run the smaller studs 1.375 woodys or 1.325 forget now and I hook up just as good or better with less studs and a 136. Have raced my buddy with his 06 RTX with 144 1.45s and beat him off the line almost every race and beat him out to distance. Also have seen 114 gps with LTX less than 500 miles best I ever saw on 06 RTX was 111 gps with 3 degree key and some other goodies so I'm completely happy. Don't get me wrong I have lost to my friends RTX but only when I grabbed way to much throttle and spun out.

gentlemen, my limiter strap is out all the way out torque rod is at max i weigh 200 or so with gear all kinds of power major spinning. 1.375 studs with 1.250 track and 162 studs all my other sleds hook up perfect with same set up!! Can i take the torque rod OUT or is it going to hurt the sled. I do not care about turning as i do alot of drag racing need all the traction i can get and changing stud height is out of the question do not want to hit heat exchanger or exhaust. Why is this sled so had to hook up i have a 03 f7 05 900 both launch great. :o|

I was thinking of doing the same but not to shure, anyone else take it out?

has anyone removed it with 1.325 studs, if so, does it hook then without transfer rod? basically you would just have to becareful of ski lift all the time

if you can figure it out using less stud height you'll be a hero

I'm going to find out this weekend.......I took out the acm (accelleration control module, similar to our transfer rod) on my 99 mach z and it was awesome. Could wheelie on demand and out hole shot anyone. Coming into a turn you just let off the throttle and the front settles down and coming out of the corner lean with your body english as you hammer it. It was a blast and I hope the LTX performs the same. Plus I'm shedding some weight

I love to wheele, my bud just got a summit everest 800 and that thing can wheele anywere I would like my attak to do the same but worried about the W bracket stabbing the track.

Mighty, let me know how you make out, what are you running for studs and how many?

has anyone taken out the transfer rod for more hole shoot i have 1.375 studs 162 of them on a ltx gt does it hurt the sled??? :4STroke: :o|

i have heard others on hear say to take it out and it will hurt nothing, but cornering on throttle would be very hard without sitting on tank. but very fun pullin wheelies!!

if your playing on the ice take it out, when trail riding put it back in, can't be that hard putting it back in

Just had mine out and love it, makes the sled fell so light, whent 500 feet with the skis 10 inches of the ground.
