Need some advice... trade the attak for nytro xtx..??

I just did the opposite--traded my nytro XTX for a 2012 Apex. The XTX front end just would never be what I wanted it to be and I tried a lot of spring and spindle combos. The mono skid is also a much better (cushier) trail skid. The Nytro's lack of wind protection can be delt with and a Trail tank is must for people who like to put miles on.

Just sold my XTX to go back to Vec LTX, sold my 07 Attak GT that was great, but wanted the triple Efi in a lighter package. XTX was nice and fun , but prefer the sit down, warmer Deltabox II layout. Totally different rides...Like the cruiser I got again!

Just remember standard Nytro gas tank 7 gallons so about a safe 100 mile range. If the trade has had the larger tank installed you are good on gas if not would not be enough range for me. All depends on your trail habits?

Would you trade an 07 attak gt, for an 09 nytro xtx???...I really like my attak..but the one thing, that has bothered me is it's off trail ability..it's a heavy beast. I have ridden a Nytro RTX and Nytro Fx (short tracks)...but never have been on an XTX...I loved the nytro motor...but wasn't impressed with how they handled...I also felt they were a bit stiff for my liking...is the xtx softer??? Better ride??

Would love to hear from folks who made the switch....I don't want to reget getting rid of my attak...but the xtx seems to be more my style of riding (a mix of ditches, trails, forest roads, and lakes). Gimme some input....thanks

If that is your riding style, the Nytro XTX is what you need. But, like most sleds you will make some changes... Shock valving and maybe lowering the front end. Maybe install a kit from Jaremko? I had one and dis like it, because it handled poorly for groomed trails.

Also, I hated the 7 gallon gas tank... 90 miles and you are looking for gas in a hurry.. That part really sucked...
