When you say you checked all the usual spots for wires rubbing, did you check the WHOLE harness that is attached to the upper frame above the clutch? I had this same issue, and that's where a wire was rubbing. You really have to take all the zip ties and clips off and pull harness up to see anything. I'd be surprised if the issue is the regulator.

Checked everything I could find, all perfect, if the postal service ever gets it together, I may know before winter is over.....

Are you talking about the front left motor mount bracket? I personally know of 4 998s in our area from various years and mileages that have needed there VRs replaced as well.

Are these regulators all the same from 2017-2025? There is a part number change @ 2022 but then the new part number seems to be superseded by the old number?

2017 Sidewinder LTX-SE. 11750 miles (SOLD)
Looks like the EPS sleds use a 50 AMP voltage reg. The other use a 45 AMP voltage reg. Only difference i can find? Not sure what is different from 2017-- 2025 besides the EPS

I know of a brand new 2024 that was delivered last year to my buddy with a bad VR. Good thing we pay for dealer prep. lolI personally know of 4 998s in our area from various years and mileages that have needed there VRs replaced as well.
