can anyone find what names yamaha has a new patent on this year? like someone did on here last year

About the only new name that I see in the trademarks (both USA & Canada) is one filed August 2007 which is named...

X-TX

i am pretty sure i don't have a clue on this one but maybe the xtx will be an extended nytro? or maybe with many new 600 class sleds creaping toward the 130 range the vector gets replaced with something in the 100-110 range to fill the "gap" between it and the phazer, then they would have an 80-110-130-150ish. 20 to 30 horse between each model, or maybe it's a yzf made for snow, that picture looks to me like an r-1 (apex) headlight and a dude leaning it over in a turn, maybe they just sent out a picture to snowmobile guys and it's really the next r-1 and this all just a big mistake.

at the moment i wouldnt trade my current sled for the FX nytro or a XP 800..

it took me 3 years and lots of $$$ but the apex is an awsome machine and tough to beat and super reliable..

The big key to the apex is adding the pilots and having the rear shock revalved and resprung for your weight everything else is perfect

i can't see the link but i'm 99% sure its the demo phazer that they let the engineers go crazy on to show what they could do with it. a lot of carbon fiber, chromoloy, titanium and all that. it has the yellow ripsaw? if so, then ya its an oldie

BBY you said it, it would have to be a piece of junk with that name, and i am pretty sure the guy in the article meant that he would like a combo of the two.

Don't get too excited folks, I bet there is no new models for next year and probably 2010 as well.

But we'll see variations for the Nytro with some crossover models, like 136 and 144 inch tracks. Also probably Float options for the MTX along with some new colors.

The way business works will tell you this. This couldn't/wouldn't just throw away the R&D they had on the FX Nytro to produce a sled that is in its same class that is better.

Maybe a freshened Apex though...
