TY In the New 09 Brochure

I was honored to see it in the brochure but new it would be taken wrong in some aspect.

Gina.... your YamahaGirl why else would you be in there...LOL

Yamaha girl, take your helmet off, wood ya?
This site is way beyond any one person, be it the site builder, or any one of the thousands who have made comment since.
Its a monster, in the sledding word IMO.
It is great to see a direct link back to the company and product that brings all of us together here.

Muscle Boy Brian is jelious...LOL, That could have been you and the great pumpkin!!

As far as a cult...LMAO, Mighty anyone that know anything about Yamaha knows Totallyamaha.

I don't think Yamaha would put Brian's sled in there because it has aftermarket parts and especially the Ski-doo skis (Pilots) - wouldn't look good for Yamaha. But it is no doubt (IMO) one of the coolest machines on here.

And Mr. Sled, I hate to burst (or just dent) your bubble but don't assume that TY is all that popular everywhere with everyone. Some people don't have computers and/or couldn't care less about chatting online with others for various reasons. And, no I am not jealous - Yamaha would not want me in their publication.

BombaPolaYama, I hate burst your little ego bubble but maybe you would like to be on the outside looking in.... since you like to take fun out of most things that are posted on this site. See the problem is that you dont understand anything about what really goes on on the site nor the fact that me and Brian are good friends and like to razz each other.... as far as Yamaha not wanting you in there publications... you are CORRECT... I dont even want you here.

I just wanted to share my feeling since you shared yours so carefully.

i'm confused, if i am reading some of these posts right, it seems some people are upset because some of thier fellow TY members ended up in a brochure? i dont know all the history (if there is any) or politics of yamaha corp and ty but i would think this is great for the site to know yamaha is watching and listening. Everybody knows there are perks in life from knowing the right people. If Tom gets (key word IF) some sort of kick back or extra attention from yamaha for his creation then more power to him. I guess that means that anyone close to Tom has a chance of being part of that if he chooses. If this site wasnt created imagine trying to get yamaha to go on HCS and listen to us. So if yamaha wants TOM and others in a brochure then good for them. Hell they should give him a new sled for what he has done. Oh and yamahagirl, loose the helmet for a pic :)

Well put nodoo_s ... my exact thinking ... I don't understand all the negative that has came from this. I think it is neat ... from my understanding everyone on here had a chance at this ... remember that essay thread a while back? That is how we became the chosen ones ....

I am not wearing a helmet! My helmet is on the seat and I have a black hat on!

I think this whole thing is really cool! Also, some are saying Yamaha should comp. these guys? Isn't it just cool to be a part of the new catalog?
I would like to extend congratulations to everyone! those are nice write-ups and cool pictures! I would be honored and proud to be in that catalog and would carry one with me all the time to show everyone i met.
Thank you for the honor to have some of our members in your catalog yamaha! We owe you!

Well said Mark!

Some of these people are frickin rediculous, why even spend time here if in your twisted sence of reality things are so corrupt. And Tom you are always a whore to me! - LOL

It puzzles me to no end that a topic about TY members in Yamahas brochure could end up in a discussion about Yamahas motives. Come on folks, there is no conspiracy here. Its an honor for TY and the members they choose, leave it at that. Its clear Yamaha is recongnizing and thanking Sleddy, Convert, Gina and Hondo. Testamonials have been a part of advertising for as long as I can remember. Can someone explain how this brochure using TY members and there testamonials is something new in advertising?

Lighten up people!

What in the bloody hell is wrong with people today?

We are lucky enough to have a fine female involved in this thread, and somebody has to make a whoring out comment.

And BombaPolaBomba, consistantly good only for smug snotty comments.
He is only out to grind Yamaha into submission over and over and over. It is not fair to other members.

Toss these guys! Let them crap somewhere else!

Ah, you don't like me so you are reverting to that kinda stuff now and thanks for the diagnosis.

Well anyway, I am sincerely sorry if I offended you and others on here, but good for you or whoever for getting the publicity with Yamaha. I do like the site and all the good info that I glean on here, as some guys, like Cannondale among others, really go out of their way to help with problems, and I appreciate it. I admit, sometimes I take my .... sense of humour and sarcasm a little too far. I will try to tone it down. But please realize that not everyone fits into a certain preconceived Warm and Fuzzy Yamaha mould. Bottomline is, I just expected good value for the dollar when I purchased Yamaha. Is that too much to ask?

ps. In the spirit of positiveness I may even change my Avatar and signature when i get around TUIT.

Bombapolayama, i dont think this topic is about warm fuzzies or people only seeing through blue googles, that is another topic. this is about just being happy for the people in the brochure, thats it. they may love their sleds the way they are, and others may not.

Congratulations to everyone! That is a very impressive accomplishment!
I do agree with Gina about the negativeness but hat seems to be everywhere you go. Its going to happen all over the world in every circumstance. The important thing is to be able to elevate yourself above and beyond the capabilities or incapabilities of the persons expressing the negativity. I have noticed this all over the site but also, I have noticed the moderators doing a wonderful job. View and analize others opinions and make a decission from there, Take the good with the bad and be happy we are not in the boss's shoes, as i do not envy him!
I believe the helmet he was talking about was the one in your old avatar? maybe?
Once again, This is a great site ! Congratulations to Hondo,Mr. Sled, Convert and Yamahagirl. I thank you for the opprotunity to be involved!
