So we are likely getting the turbo 3 cylinder and a Phazer in the Procross chassis for 2017.
That would be a great use for that Phazer motor. Many would buy and complain about lack of power, but that would fill a void in the lineup if the phazer went away. Call it the Phazer III or Exciter. Kick those bad boys out at $5999 each and buy some market share back from the rest.
It would crush the Ace 600, and with a small amount of boost may crush an Ace 900.

I am beginning to think the new Cat big dog and new Yammi might be one and the same........
Most likely on the chassis for sure. They have never released on the same day in the past.

Ahhhh, there is a thought. That would be something new. A new clutch design that doesn't loose as much power as a traditional belt. What if they got rid of traditional cluch

Guys in the cat forum on HCS are already rumoring it as their 9000's were getting beat by Turbo Vipers. Lot's of variables there, and obviously either machine has the ability to beat on the other. But many were comparing minimal configurations similar to what may come stock in the 9000 to a "yamaha approved" MPI install with minimal boost. Most likely on the chassis for sure. They have never released on the same day in the past.

It sounds different because the exhaust gas is going thru a hairdryer 1st.

Doesn't the YXZ motor make like 25hp less than the Nytro motor??I think that is precisely what they've done...with the YXZ motor.

Just because they are sticking with the tall spindle and wide a-arm spacing it's the same chassis as the procross? So the axis has a beaver tail, that mean it's the same as the first rev?

A dealer who is out at the dealer meeting in Canada says that Apex isn't changing this year. He also said that a new motor in a viper chassis "not a viper though" that has a very high top speed 110+ .

There are no grated grill on hood like previous 4strokes in cat chassis. Could be no or little radiator and a larger heat exchanger
