I have a new 8DN that I am going to put on my 07 Attak GT. Do I need to wash the belt/let dry before I put it on? I am just wondering if it makes a difference or if most people just put the belt on the way it comes and roll.
Thanks!
Mark

I've never washed one, but thats just me.... put her on and go.
I washed my belt and let dry. The belt sometimes has coat of wax for shipping.

If I have time I wash them, but if not I just put them on. As long as you keep you clutches clean you'll be fine.

Usually if I need to install a belt its because I blew one on the side of the trails... And I wouldn't wash it in the snow lol. So I have never washed a belt and would get at least 2000 miles per belt this way.

I wash it in the dishwasher. Cascade dish washer soap. It is easy and does not wreck the dishwasher. I do not put the belt in there with dishes and never would -- just the belt.
