NEW GRIP WARMERS

nope.

Yamaha is very stingy on recalls. Plus they never have admitted anything is wrong with the 06-09 warmers.

They just needed to "improve" them for nothing I suppose. And to think that BRP immediately recalled their handwarmers on the 08 XP's for each and every customer, but Yamaha can't even admit publicly that their handwarmers have SUCKED BIG TIME for the last 5 years ! The simple fact that they have updated them for 2010 states to me that they admitted fault, plain and simple !

What I find interesting about this hand warmer thing is that they only mention a change in the grip itself. Specifically they say localizing the heat to where it's needed, at your fingers. I can only assume that it means the heater element is located in the center portion of the grip again just like it was in 06'. Now my question is did they change the control logic? If not I really can't see it helping a ton. What I would like to see is the specs on the elements as I want to see what the resistance has been changed to, and whether or not they are wired in parallel. If anyone gets the opportunity please gets some numbers.
