This just slides in from the top side of hood and is held in place with existing screen and rivets. Pricing coming soon. It works very well and shoves nice fresh air directly into your intercooler. The scoop looks like its a factory piece and is not at all intrusive. Heres some pics. Prices to follow...BBY

I think you would pick up about 10MPH on the top end.

Kidding...

I haven't tested the scoop on a ECP kit - it was designed as part of the air management system for the BPE turbo. That said, the scoop will supply siginificantly more cold air to under the hood, and the RX isn't exactly known for it's low under hood temps to begin with. I would say there is potential for a small performance gain, but I don't think it would be significant.

It looks cool though.

When pricing becomes available, I would like to try one with an ECP kit to see if it changes anything.

With the overheating problems, it couldn't hurt. Will the scoop fit both openings in the lower hood. So $45 each or two for $80 ?

There is only one scoop. It is designed to fit into the upper hood opening, and is held in place with the factory vent screen fasteners. Install time - about 5 minutes. I don't think there would be any benefit to having two scoops on the hood, as the lower one would block most of the intake air that could potentially enter through the upper.

Ummm....dumb question here....but what's it made outta? Can I paint it Yamaha blue?....thanks.....any snow up there in Winnipeg? Talked to some friends from that area and they said it's been damn cold!

It is vacuum formed plastic. There is a specific primer required to paint the parts, but you can paint it any color you want.

Damn cold this a.m., but lots of snow on the ground - 8" and counting, they're starting to groom the trails around Lac Du Bonnet I've been told.

We had snow too....a whopping 0.2" fell :o| I might be making a trip up to the Winnipeg area to go riding for a weekend after the 1st of the year. Would be nice to put a face with a name.

I think we need to hook up as I'm very interested in a BPE TURBO for next season on my 04 Warrior.

Lakercr, how's it going? Haven't heard from you in awhile. You keeping outta trouble? Getting any seat time yet this year? I've been laying low myself, working on a buddies Apex, these things seem to have alot of potential. My only issue with them is the lack of windshield and freezing hands. My old RX-1 is still just purrrrrrring away.
