New M9 yamaha ski

Would love to see the keel of these ski's
"parabolic shape"
"excellent resistance to darting"
"remarkably low steering effort for its performance characteristics"
"outstanding flotation"
"it's hard to come up with a new design without treading on someones toes"
SAY WHAT!
Looks like Yamaha bought a pair of Curves to study!

If they studied the curve skis they def had to improve them. "excellent resistance to darting" tells me these are nothing like curves as well as "outstanding flotation"

Hell has officially frozen over!!! Yamaha has a new ski!!!! I will be trying these out.

Until I see a picture of the bottom of the ski and of the carbide itself I'm not getting too excited...But anything has to be an improvement..

went to a dealer today , tryed to order a set , he told me its not even in there database yet , and have never herd about these skis .

First the Canadian Yamaha Wizards need to double the price. Then write a Press Release, siting duty, cross border shipping, and a stumbling economy for the price increase.

Canadian Dealers should have Pricing and Part #'s in a few weeks. :o| #$%&* :o|

It must be only people from maine who don't believe in the magic skis.

John will be ordering me a set asap to try.

Did you ever dump those skis you had? you could always bolt on a set of dartless plates on them or graft some snow trackers on them.

John, don't you tease me with talk of the bottom looking like an arrow and then show up with some useless single carbide ski, though I will still try them.

oh yeah I dumped that junk. When they saw I had them for sale they pm'd me and said if I didnt sell them they would buy them back. After 3 weeks I tried to get them to buy them back and suddenly they were no where to be found. I ended up selling them on ebay and bolted on my yamaha mountains.......no magic super hyper x-factor profile bottoms on those but for some reason they work great!

They are single carbide skis Sorry Look at the pic from Port

Did you see that Curve ind. now has a "leading edge" dartless plate for their "dartless" skiis. Why would you need such a plate on a ski that was designed not to dart in the first place?
I guess I understand the logic, the other day I bought a new camo jacket for hunting. I got it home and promptly covered the whole jacket in camo duct tape.
One thing I can say about those "dartless" skiis is, that I have never tried a ski that is that predictable! In my experience they work exactly the same in any snow condition....poorly.
I am looking forward to trying the new yamaha ski. Hopefully it will perform somewhere close to slp's powder pro. I love the pp skiis!

Did you happen to read the whole thread on "The leading edge"? this product is for use on rock hard icy conditions, where there is very little or no snow. All this product does is help aid the runners in these conditions. I'm having a hard time figuring out why you would bash there ideas, I for one think its nice to see someone push the envelope and be inovative. all Curve is doing is making a good product better, and striving to be the best.

I am sorry if you think my opinion is bashing. "Pushing the envelope and or being innovative" in my mind, would have to been, producing a ski that performs as advertised. I think it is sad that people have spent $500 on a set of skiis to improve the handling and darting of a sled, only to have to spend another $80 to make the ski do the same thing a stock yamaha ski does with dartless or pipe mod done to it. I call a spade a spade. If they work for you, great! But I have yet to see anyone in person who thinks any different than what I have found. I'll stick to my powder pros or the junk yamaha skiis.
