I hauled the sled in the bed of my truck. There were nuts and grass in there so I'm pretty sure it was already in there. That's a bit bizarre !
I could see if you were buying a used , un kept , parting out sled !
And then it would be a GWP !!
I have seen what mice can do in a short time .
Is there any chance it happened in the trailer on your way home ?????
I can't wait to hear what the dealer says about this.

Yes, but did you stop anywhere while hauling the sled where a mouse could have gathered all that material, load it in your sled, get in there, then build the nest while your rolling down the highway??? FM! Really???I hauled the sled in the bed of my truck. There were nuts and grass in there so I'm pretty sure it was already in there.

Happens all the time. I'm surprised they didn't multiply. He could have had a bunch of little ones in there. Maybe the ride home from the dealer wasn't long enough for that.Yes, but did you stop anywhere while hauling the sled where a mouse could have gathered all that material, load it in your sled, get in there, then build the nest while your rolling down the highway??? Looks like the drug cartel figured out another way to get Marijuana into the country.
We may have to build the WALL around Minnesota.

Headed west tomorrow after work to do a little lake riding before our UP trip in early Feb. Hopefully I won't have any leaks or issues! Just an update on the mouse issue , the dealer basically said they missed it and offered me a $99 credit off the sled. Whoopee! I made him document the issue so if I have electrical issues down the road from chewed wiring the factory knows it was delivered that way. Do most dealers take care of the known issues like loose turbo bolts during prep? I kinda lost faith with the mouse nest. Wondering if I should dig into it myself just to be certain. Wish me luck!

Don't forget to feed your mice before you go riding. I'm sure this will give you a edge in an race for sure. All joking aside welcome and enjoy your new ride. I don't own a winder yet some day but I find myself reading posts in winder section alot.

I'm sure your dealer went through your sled with a fine tooth comb and made sure everything was perfect. Looking for a mouse nest isn't on the pre sale check list that's the only reason he didn't see it.

Losing faith in dealers seems to be problematic for Yamaha. I call it a “5 Star” issue!Headed west tomorrow after work to do a little lake riding before our UP trip in early Feb. Well the sled ran great! We rode all day Saturday and I must say I am impressed! Pulls so hard but yet the power is sneaky. I did notice my primary seems loud at idle , anyone else notice this? I came home today and pulled the exhaust off , no oil leaks and all turbo bolts were still tight. Oil and coolant levels look good. Hopefully it runs good in Feb for our UP trip!

Normal. No permanent fixes yet.
The best thing to do is pull up to a Polaris at stops & look at him funny like it's his sled. Kind of like passing gas & blaming it on your little sister...

The primary took some getting used to. I thought for sure something was about to fall apart, until a Yamaha Tech assured me everything was right and this was the norm.
The pull on these Sidewinders is beautiful.
