New Need4Speed 4 tube Header, and changes !!!

She is definitly bada** personal preference for me is to hide some of the speed and let the sled speak for itself but thats why this is fun, everyone has different ideas and its all good. Wish I could hear that thing fly by probably sounds like a rocket ship! Cant wait for new muffler picts!

I have a tunnel dump exhaust, a double divorced downpipe with a 2" x 3.5" outlet going down into the tunnel. I'm trying to figure out a way to fabricate a pipe in that dimension to keep the cross area of the pipe as large as I can while trying to make it fit under the tunnel, my idea is to install a muffler/silencer on top of the tunnel in the rear.

any one ever try something like a 2X4 square tube?? That might be enough to go down the tunnel and then covert back to 2.25 for a muffler? But for me with 3" pipe at the turbo, going to a 2.25 muffler might be a bit restricitve.

Rxrider something like this

aja636 - I have seen cars and even a sled with triangular exhaust tubes, a squared pipe should work as long as the cross section area of the pipe is as large or larger than of the downpipe outlet. I wouldn't (like you) want to exit the tunnel pipe into anything less that a silencer with 3" inlet.

Speed - Yes, I had something like that in mind.

Thanks for the link!! I will look into that.. I am going to try the supertrapp first. But if that don't get it to the noise level I am looking for I am open to try anything and they look like it might work..
Just Have to watch for being too restrictive though...Turbos like to breath!!!

I used the dynomax 3x12 bullet muffler on my two stroke turbo. Its the quietest one I tried plus its a full 3" on the inside with no obstructions. Its a little hard to see in picture, but its fairly quiet.

Well it has been a long while for any updates but now summer is over I finally got off the boats to work on the sled a bit. Here is my final exhaust set up.

Really it turn out to be a shade quieter then the old hindle set up.

Awesome, I would love to not have the exhaust in the rear end when your stuck! Looks nice and clean! I bet it would scare the wee out of a unsuspecting souls at a trail stop to glide up behind them and get right next to them and give a little blip of the throttle! ha ha

more for when I am in the right lane flying by you WOT.

believe it or not it is pretty quiet. Has a real deep tone, not screamy at all like the hindle sounded.
