I'm thinking of doing this mod, with an XP Fuel Tank and Seat this summer - do you think this would be any different on the Apex than on the RX-1?

I'm planning on using a clear tank, and ditching the gas gauge, and doing under tunnel exhaust at the same time.

I'm considering this too. What's the capacity on the xp fuel tank?

This looks awesome......hmmmm
I like this idea....help balance out the weight from the middle of the sled to the entire tunnel. This would be nice since the middle right under the bars is the bulk of the weight which in my mind seems why they handle so tippy and not flowing like an M8. I know that Troy at Lincoln County Customs does a similar install with his turbo sleds. I'd like a tank with about 8 gallons capacity as this is all I ever use in a long hard ride being NA.......I like this idea! Keep the info coming guys......

The XP has a 10.5 gallon or 15 gallon depending on which tank you get.
I will go 10.5, I don't need 15.

15 gallons? Wow, I could use that! I wonder if it would fit our tunnels?
I absolutely love the extra power with the supercharger, but I'm often worried about fuel on those deep days.

That's a cool mod.
Im doing this same mod to my 03 TRX1. Im using a rev tank, boss seat for a rev. Not sure about the xp tank or what it looks like, it might work also. You will need to replace the top of the tunnel or cut of the part for the exhaust. The doo tanks are flat bottom. With the turbo tank, it have 30L of fuel, rev tank 45L, wont have to carry gas anymore. Not 100% sure what you will have to do about your intank fuel pump. Maybe the msd pump people use on apex turbo kits might work for you. I got a used black tank, the white tanks kinda go yellowish colour after awhile I have noticed. The black tank has a fuel gauge behind the filler neck. And it will blend in more. Dont stock apex's have 45L tank now? Or do you have a turbo? If you look up RxRider, he has a great write up on using rev tank on a RX1, also his buddy put a rev tank on a apex.

im going to do this as well to my Vector this summer. Should be an interesting project.
If it goes well i'll do it to my Apex.

well i bit the bullet and got 2 tanks off e-bay. they have a mechanical gauge at the top so that should make things easier. One was $49, the other i got for $32, each had $25 shipping.
Now i just need to find 2 cheap seats.
I saw a picture of a guy who put a KTM dirtbike seat on his sled... interesting.
