- 2002 Renegade 700
Hey guys/girls I'm new to the forum. And well I'm looking at ordering a new sled this year. My 02 Renegade is getting left behind by all my buddies riding Freerides and Backcountry X 800's. They all ride Doo's and that's why I'm here for some advice. I'm thinking about a Yamaha, ultimately either a XTX or a MTX with the 141" track. But I do a lot of off-trail riding/exploring in deep snow and rough terrain along with my normal trail/lake riding. My biggest question is how maneuverable are the new Vipers. Being around 640lbs. wet weight(around 90lbs more then my 2nd choice, a Polaris Switchback Assault) I'm worried that if I drop the $$$ on a Viper I might not like it because of the weight.
That's the biggest con I see. It's all pro's in other areas other then power but being a 4-stroke that can be worked out to keep up to the 800's. So for those of you with Vipers how do you find they are to throw around and play on when a guy wants to? Thanks.

There are great deals on 2016's that are in dealer stock, now is the time to save some bucks.Winter snow has been so bad there giving them away.I bet you would not be disappointed in a viper.See what you can find and weigh your options.
Here are 2 a 14 xtx tubo and a 15 xtx turbo off trail and on
14 on trail
15 off trail in 4' of powder
15 on trail with Pro S 800 in front
14 on trail

I would pass on the 16's if you are tinking about turbo due to bad rods. Order a 17 little birdy told me factory installed turbo not much more $$ than N/A

I think an XTX is more like 580lbs ready to ride and if your talking after an hour of riding they are very close to a 2 smoke. This chassis caries less snow/ice than any other I have ever seen.
