Well I finally did it...Yesterday I sold my 91 Phazer II.....went to the local dealer and signed the papers for my new Apex GT 40th....All I need now is snow.

WOW!!!! That's some upgrade! From a Phazer II to an Apex!!! ;)!

Congrats! I guess you'd better hold on tight the first time out... :letsnow:

Make sure you hold on tight when you hit the go lever. Your gonna love it.

Thanks Guys...I've been riding for 35 years and have been on a few of the big ones before but yes I will certainly have to get used to the HP...but just think of the fun I'm gonna have doing it......I just decided a few years ago that when I get another sled I'm going all the way. Come on snow.

:-o

At least you waited till '08
Now you have a rear suspension capable of using the extra power.........

You will LOVE IT! ;)!

I would remind you to learn to play the throttle for decelleration as much as accelleration. I mean it is easy and great to get used to more power  Learning to let off slowly to control the compression braking is also fun. It is a new driving tool that 2 strokers do not have.

Two things I noticed, on trails the compression braking loads the skiis, great for corner set up but this increases hunting or darting on the straight and second is in deep snow the front end just dives. Now I agree that these fronts don't float wgreat in the deep but this braking effect makes it seem much worse.

It is the best sled I have ever ridden. Not the slightest interest in a change for me. :ORC

Yep; that's a BIG STEP UP ;)!

I'm pretty sure you will find this one a little FASTER & SMOTHER too Ride :jump:

Congrats on the new ride. Heck of a jump as stated above a few times. Whatever you do, don't try to get rid of of the engine breaking ( e.i. clutching, etc ) Some guys hate it, but if you try to use it, you'll love it.
Off trail, it can be a bit annoying, just "teach" yourself the throttle. There is a certain point where you can let of the gas and the engine breaking won't happen. Learn this point of the throttle and you'll master that sled both on and off the trail.

Have fun.
