I made the jump from yamaha today. I bought a new 2009 Arctic Cat Crossfire R 1000. Loving it so far its one of the fastest stock sleds ive ever rode. close to 170 hp and 505 lbs.

Best of luck to you with your new sled...Enjoy

nice ride, you will be happy. The Cat Lay down motor is very bullet proof and tuned up goes very well. Enjoy...

I managed to put 400 miles on it, I only rode it 3 times and the snow is starting to melt.

I am very happy with my decision to buy this sled. It rides great and handles Awesome. I dont miss the inside ski lift crap that my warrior had. I put a D&D can on it and im leaving everything else stock except for a few visual mods and studs this summer. This sled pulls like a freight train across the lake. makes an 800 XP look slow lol

Didnt take long to decide to do some summer mods lol

Bought 204 Roetin Hornets
BMP Ypipe, Fat Azz Pipe, Powder lite can, boondocker, stage 2 clutch kit, 3.75* timing key and big flow intake. so much for leaving it stock lol. BMP claims it should have around 195-200hp with these mods it should be a blast. I'll post some pics when I get everything in and installed.

My neighbor has an 08 Crossfire 800. It's green. Very fast sled. I really like 'Cats aside from their colors. Always orange or green or some combo. very nice sled. good luck with yours.

Nice sled.I had the same one but black. They haul the mail set up properly.
Drill a new hole in the limiter stap about a 1/2" down from the tightest hole and it will corner like its on rails and still transfer.I took my transfer blocks out and it still cornered awesome.

I would not do the timing key as you will launch both pistons, if your fuel is not good. Not worth the trade off on reliability, but everything else will be good and safe.

Agreed..timing key=bad things to engine.

Not to many guys are fond of BMP. Do some research. Maybe straightline or speedwerx.

I had a BMP Stealth pipe on my 06 F7...worked awsome. Speedwerx stuff is very nice and I had great luck with Straighline Performance aswell. Definitly go on Arctic Chat and deo some research.
