nytrozula said:This is not an easy install! I talked with Matt at MPI and have decided to send the ECU in for remapping. The remap will allow teh supercharger to run up to 8 lbs on pump fuel safely. Fairly inexpensive upgrade I figure. After talking with Matt, I feel really good about buying one of his products. What a nice guy and very informative. Anyhow, the 8 lbs should be just right for a trailable sled, at least for a few weeks!
Don't get caught up by boost numbers that get thrown around on this site 8lbs on the trail is one f***ing wild ride.
Below is my last ride on my turbo warrior at 10lbs. boost riding through the Muskoka trails at a good pace….

-i don't know about you guy's, but running 9-10lbs boost with no head shim (110 Octane) on the trails is a crazy ride.
you can see in the video that i rarely hit WOT for very long however the sled still blasts down the trail which carries with it
zero forgiveness if you make an error. The sled rides more like a dirt bike than a sled with the ability to lift the front end over bumps.
the ZX2 is amazing are the new front shocks (Elkays) it's hard to see the bumpy terrain but the trail grooming stopped 4 days ago.
- personally speaking i can't see running more than 10 LBS of boost for trail riding that would actually be usable power.
on the lake ….well, that's what the boost controller is for…..next year I'm thinking head shim -due to cost of race gas.
