Just bought an '06 Venture for a back up and am changing the oil. My problem is how many drain plugs are there on this thing?! It appears that there is only one on the oil tank. I have removed the panel to change the oil filter and expected to find another on there like on the 4cyl models. Thanks in advance.

Look for the bolt on the bottom of the motor with a copper washer on it. Pull that out and you should drain the remaining oil in the bottom end.

When you take the oil filter off, make sure that you also get the O Ring from the old oil filter off of the engine before you put a new oil filter on. Sometimes the O Ring stays on the engine and if you put a new oil filter on, you will have two O Rings in place. Disaster can follow.

X2 Don't forget this.
I also like to clean the screen in the bottom of the oil tank.

I also remove the black plastic plug on the valve cover to avoid a vaccum lock that can keep some of the oil from draining.
Not everyone thinks this is necessary, but I proved it to the dealer that it does happen.
