I think the Vector mono 2 did not have the tunnel adjuster? My 12 Apex has the tunnel adjuster.

- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
All mono's had limiter straps...
This is what you said and I just said....."I don't think so". Just because your 07 Apex has one doesn't mean they all did.
The early Mono skids were prone to the low speed clunking sound when going over moguls. I thought the limiter strap was added to prevent this from happening. But I'll look at a few fiches first.

This noise is from the transfer rod.

So then what are the differences between the Mono 1 and the Mono 2?

There r a few things between the two
- reinforced w arm
- track adjusters
- axle diameter
- some bushing were replaced with bearings
- mono 1 had track rubbing on the top of the shock, that was fixed
- I think the wheels with replaceable bearing came with mono 2 unlike mono 1 which u had to change the whole wheel to change the bearings
- I'm sure there's more, someone will add to this...

the mono 1 had the wheels mounted on the cross shaft, mono 2 has them mounted to a plate that is attached to the tunnel.

Which one is the w arm, front or back? I know my back one has straight tubes on the outside and the inner ones are "j" shaped. Most monos that I've seen had all 4 tubes "j" shaped

Front arm...
W arm on mono 1 was known for cracking n breaking etc...
Beef up kit solved that issue for those who got it... I did... Awesome quality...

I'm having an issue with this skid so I thought that I would revive my original post. I've spent a lot of time researching this but can't find the answer that I'm looking for...
All in all, this skid works awesome for my riding style, big miles, long days. The issue that I'm having is that I installed a Camoplast XT pre-studded track. The track is great but the only way to get rid of a vibration is to run the track a bit loose, 1.25" free sag. The problem now is, if I hit the powder, the track is impacting the rail tips, to the point of slowing down the track if I squeeze the throttle. I know that I have the option of adjusting the transfer rod and limiter strap but I'm going to try an anti-stab kit from IceAge first. If this doesn't eliminate the problem, then I'll start making adjustments.
Now, for my question: what is the best way to mount the anti-stab kit? I don't think I have enough space to mount it on the rail tips because the wheels will hit the limiter strap cross-shaft. Here are the options that I can think of:
1. Replace the limiter strap cross-shaft with the anti-stab kit. This may require cutting the rail tips so that the wheels protrude beyond the plastic tips
2. Install the anti-stab kit on the rail tips and move the limiter strap cross-shaft back enough to clear the wheels
3. Install the anti-stab kit on the rail tips and eliminate the limiter strap cross-shaft by moving the limiter strap to anti-stab cross-shaft
I have found several posts of guys saying that they have anti-stab kits on a mono but nothing saying how they did it
