Hey guys, I just bought a RTX. Haven't ridden a Yamaha since my early childhood on a Bravo 250! Owned a few sleds since: Indy trail, xcr 700, xc 700, F7 and a T660. I was close to buying an RX 1 before but got caught up in all the weight crap. I fell in love with the 4 strokes and was glad to see Yamaha come out with a superior rear skid. Can't wait till the snow flies! Great site! I've been watching it for a few years. I used to help moderate over at HCS, but ran out of ambition and patience with all the bashing that goes on sometimes. I gotta admit though, the price tag of these and all sleds for that matter are starting to hurt the pocket!

welcome, I started out at HCS but there isn't even half as much good info there as here!
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm praying for a good winter. Being in the NE, we haven't had a stellar year in a while. All the weather gods are pointing to an average/above average year...let's hope. I miss the november snows and the late march early april season.
Rob over at HCS put up a great site, very nice guy, but I don't think he could have imagined how big his site would become. It's tough to keep up with all the bashers. Jease, I remember emailing him years ago and asking for some tech tips on my xc 700, back then it was just a little site, mostly photography. Oh well, thanks again!
One thing that has me worried since I've been digging around about my new purchase is the Mono skid? I'm going to post a seperate subject.
