- 2016 Viper XTX-LE w/ MPI turbo
Well I pulled the trigger and ordered the XTX-LE with the MPI turbo. After a ton of reading I opted for this due to its being Warranty friendly to Yamaha as well as the price. I plan to run it as is for the 3 years I have protection and then upgrade to stage 1 most likely. My second choice would have been a Hurricane as its impressive as well. I ordered it with Ulmers/MPI's clutch kit so I should be good to go that way. I am very excited to actually drive this.
My question is this: I would like to add some gauges for my information as well as for future upgrades. I know it is not needed with the Trail Turbo kit but I would like them none the less.
What are people using? What brand do people recommend? What is it like to install them? Are they pretty much plug and play or do I have to drill holes and tap threads? Any thing else I need to know about installing them?

I cant recommend gauges but I can tell you there is a place for a extra O2 sensor already threaded.

I have heard good things about the AEM gauges. Good to know there is a bung to put in the O2 sensor into.

Has anyone seen a good boost and AFR gauges that are analog? I have a hard time reading the digital gauges in most conditions. I don't know if they make analog gauges tough enough to take the vibration.

I have aem boost and afr gauges on mine, I like the afr gauge, fairly easy to read, but hate the boost gauge, doesn't seem to be consistent to me. If I was to do it again I'd get something different, and definitely something that read in tenths on the boost gauge rather than just 4 or 5 pounds. If u do go with aem be sure u order the waterproofing rubber boots, they will collect moisture if those stents used.
